USA Swimming High-Performance Staff
USA Swimming Coach- Level 2

USAT Certified Coach- Level 1

My name is Sam LaRiviere and I am a swammer of 18 years. I grew up swimming in Maine for the Sanford YMCA Titans and Massabesic High School where I earned Academic All-American honors as well as served as the Maine Athlete Representative to Maine Swimming LSC. I swam on numerous record-breaking relays for both teams. I continued my swimming career at Springfield College under Coach John Taffe where I trained for the 200 Fly and 400 IM. At SC, I was a four-time All-Conference team member. In my senior year, I was given the opportunity of being named co-captain for the men’s team with Dan.

Throughout Physical Therapy school at Springfield College, I was trying to figure out how to combine my experience as a competitive swimmer and my passion for helping athletes reach their goals. As a swimmer, I always felt as though swimmer's needs and concerns were swept to the side by rehabilitation professionals and caches. Let me be clear, pain is not a normal part of a swimmer's reality and we can help to prevent and treat swimming-related injuries. Let us use our experience as swimmers and expertise as clinicians to help all of your swimmers reach all of their goals.

Over the years swimming has taught me many things. The first is that swimming is fun. When I was the happiest and enjoying the process, the results that I wanted came easy. When I fought the process, swimming became a hassle. The other lesson is that you get what you put into the sport. At the end of the season, when you look at the scoreboard, there is no hiding the work that you have done. Our goal is to give each swimmer the best opportunity to reach any goal they set.

Daniel Fay

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist
USA Swimming Coach - Level 2
Certified Sportsmetrics Specialist

Hi, I'm Daniel Fay and also a "swammer" of 18 years. I grew my passion for swimming during my time at my summer Rec team. I then began swimming at Yorktown High School and on the Rivertown Rays USA swim club. I went on to swim 4 years at Springfield College, swimming backstroke, mid/long distance freestyle and serving as a co-captain during my senior year along side Sam. We both completed out Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT), and I went on to complete an orthopedic manual therapy residency.

I began swim coaching with the Yorktown Swim and Dive Team for 3 years. As I moved on into college I began my 4 year tenure as an assistant coach on a USA Swim team Mei's Typhoon Swim Club where I had the honor and joy to coach swimmers up through the junior national level. I progressed my technique analysis working with the Harvard Technique Swim Academy.

Much like my longtime friend Sam, I found myself longing and motivated to combine my love for swimming, performance and rehabilitation to improve athletes  and the sport of swimming. As I have progressed through school I have found a passion in endurance sports, swimming and athletes of every sport. Sam and I have created this company to improve the performance and longevity of athletes of all kinds with a focus on the aquatic athlete. So welcome, feel free to ask any and all questions in an effort to help us all progress athletics with wellness in mind.

TESTIMONIALS

It was really a pleasure working with physical therapist Sam for the better part of a year while I was doing heavy training for a number of running races. I initially went to him for one problem, but quickly realized that he could efficiently deal with all of my other PT needs too. Thanks to him, none of my "niggles" turned into full-blown injuries. I found him to be super attentive, and perhaps most importantly just a genuinely kind and hard-working professional. Of all the physical therapists I've been to, he was by far the most dedicated to me and my unique training needs.
